We are excited to reopen Hope Flower Farm for education after a long period of missing you!! Join us for a morning with Christin Geall, author of Cultivated: The Elements of Floral Style. One of the Garden Club of America’s ‘On Demand’ speakers, we’re delighted Christin will be bringing her passion for art and garden history to a discussion of floral design. Christin will give a slide presentation on color theory before demonstrating her design technique using flowers from Hope Flower Farm. A Q&A will follow.
Where? Hope Flower Farm
When? June 21st 2021 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM
The day will begin with a half hour designated for social time, coffee and treats which will be served in the manor house. The demonstration and speaking engagement will take place in our lovely 18th century barn or our newly designed studio space (depending on weather). Covid safety protocols will be upheld.
We welcome guests to stay after the workshop and picnic at the farm. Bring a light lunch and experience the grounds of Hope Flower Farm. Holly will be available to chat about the property and our beautiful blooms. If you would like to take home a farm fresh bouquet please preorder your bouquet as you register for the class. Our Hope Flower Farm gift shop will be open and Holly's product line can be purchased on site.
About Christin Geall
Christin Geall is the author of Cultivated: The Elements of Floral Style (Princeton Architectural Press, 2020). Trained in horticulture at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, she completed a B.A. in Environmental Studies & Anthropology and a M.F.A. in nonfiction before becoming a gardening columnist for Gardenista, a professor, photographer, and designer. Her writing and floral work focuses on the intersections of nature, culture, and horticulture. Through her company, Cultivated, she teaches and speaks internationally.
